Lugana Brut Metodo Classico
The balanced taste of the Lugana Brut traditional method sparkling wine by Pasini San Giovanni is perfect for an aperitif, but does not mind pairing with meals, especially with fish and seafood. It is produced with the native Turbiana grape grown in the village of Peschiera del Garda in the province of Verona. Turbiana is nothing more than a clone of Verdicchio grape variety, which took place in this area with a particular terrain. The soil is a compact clay of morainic origin, very pale rich in limestone, it is the result of a reclamation of what was once a marshy area. The proximity of Lake Garda guarantees a mild, almost Mediterranean microclimate. The Lugana appellation is commonly known for its white wines, but it also includes sparkling wines among the types and Lombardy is one of the main Italian regions for the production of traditional method sparkling wines. It should not be forgotten that Turbiana is rich in acidity and therefore lends itself to being used for the production of excellent sparkling wines
The fermentation of the base wine takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature starting from a pure and clarified free-run must. The second fermentation that transforms still wine into sparkling wine takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method and the sparkling wine ages in contact with the lees for 24 months before being disgorged and dosed at the level of Brut.
