As a young wine Aglianico fascinates for its fruity intensity and the soft, supple taste.
The Aglianco Dal Re red wine is produced in Irpinia with only Aglianico grapes from the best vineyards of the Feudi di San Gregorio property. It is processed with a short aging to enhance the fruity and aromatic personality of the wine rather than its structure. Irpinia is an almost mountainous area, due to its altitude and proximity to the Apennines. Aglianico grapes ripen slowly and benefits from the significant daily temperature variations that occur in summer. The elegant bottle designed by Massimo Vignelli aims to communicate a touch of modernity and finesse. It is a very versatile wine designed for catering.
The grapes are crushed and fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a total maceration of 2-3 weeks. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequently ages in French oak barriques for only 6 months and continues the aging only in steel until bottling.
