From a historic and suited vineyard comes a tonic and mineral Greco wine.
The vineyard that gives its name to the wine, Cutizzi, is located right in the municipality of Tufo in the mining area. It is a beautiful historic vineyard, sloping and bordered by the wood in the highest part of the hill. That vineyard is particularly suited thanks to the soil rich in mineral elements and to the altitude of over 400 meters. The grapes from the Cutizzi vineyard are the best Greco grapes of the Ferudi di San Gregorio property and Cutizzi wine represents one of the most famous Greco di Tufo from single vineyard (the French would call it a "Grand Cru").
Greco grape variety, endowed with polyphenols and acidity, in these territorial conditions, is able to give wines of great personality, slender, tense and fascinating. The wine is part of the Feudi di San Gregorio "Selezioni" line, intended for fine dining.
The alcoholic fermentation of the drained liquid must takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages in steel for 4-5 months in contact with the fine lees, which are kept in suspension with frequent bâtonnage. This increases the complexity and density of the wine on the palate.
