The steel wine making maintains a tonic and fresh taste and enhances the varietal aromas of tropical fruit.
It is an attractive white wine thanks to the generous fruity expression of the grape variety and to the balanced and refreshing taste due to a wine making with no use of wood. The Chardonnay of the Marco Felluga Winery comes from suited vineyards located at different altitudes between 80 and 250 m above sea level in the villages of Farra d’Isonzo, San Floriano and Cormòns in the province of Gorizia. The vineyards have a flysch soil of sedimentary origin, formed by a stratification of sandstone and marl. Furthermore, the proximity of the Adriatic Sea guarantees favorable climatic conditions for quality viticulture, in particular the grapes are affected by sunlight and diurnal range.
The harvest is manual and once de-stemmed the grapes are left to cold macerate with the skins before being pressed. The free-run must ferments in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for 6 months in steel in contact with its fine lees.
