The Willm winery was founded by Adolphe Willm in Barr in Alsace not far from Strasbourg in 1896. The family initially had a dual activity: the Willms were restaurant owners and winemakers. Only after the war they specialized in the wine business, developing the business of négotiant. The company headquarters is located at the renowned Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr, one of the most famous places for the great Alsatian wines from Gewürztraminer.
The place is characterized by clayey-limestone soils and a dry and sunny microclimate. The winery has always married a style of dry and mineral wines, perfect for food pairings. It was thanks to this style that it made success on international markets already in the first half of the 1900s.

The production is based on grapes conferred by 6 vintners, who have adopted the principles of sustainable agriculture according to the protocol of the French "Agriconfiance" association. The working techniques in the fields therefore follow the principles of environmental sustainability and health protection. All the vineyards from which the grapes for the Willm wines come are “Agriconfiance” certified.
