Tenuta Luce is a magical place where modernity meets tradition. It was originated from the meeting of two great wine producers, one from Tuscany and one from California: Frescobaldi and Mondavi. The idea of the joint venture was to combine the great vocation of the Montalcino area with the modern style of the Supertuscan wines.
The project took the name of "Luce della Vite" due to the great brightness of the area, located on the western slope of the Montalcino hill where the estate stands. International grape varieties and a modern mindset on the one hand and a strongly suited territory on the other are the ingredients of the wines produced, starting from Luce, the flagship wine of the estate. Over time, Tenuta Luce has expanded its range by including a Brunello di Montalcino too.
Today the property is entirely in the hands of Frescobaldi, who manages it with respect to the initial project.
