Back in 1800 the Italian alchemist Stanislao Cobianchi had the chance to travel outside his country, which allowed him to have great botanic intuition.
His activity mainly focused in the creation of elixir and liqueur; he use to trade his product “Elisir Lungavita” under the brand “Cobianchi Stanislao Distilleria a vapore”.
Towards the end of the century though, Stanislao chose to dedicate his product to Princess Elena from Montenegro, wife of Vittorio Emanuele III.
One of the most famous and valued liqueur was so renamed “Amaro Montenegro” becoming part of the Italian history.
