Started by the English pharmacist James Burrough in 1863 in London, the distillery takes its present name from a nephew, Christopher Hayman. The Hayman’s distillery boasts a history of distillation of over 150 years and from the very beginning it has dedicated itself to the production of Gin by marrying the driest taste that will later be defined as London Dry Gin. Hayman is therefore a pioneer and founder of one of the most widespread and loved styles of Gin, indispensable in blending.
Today the production takes place with the same recipe of the origins, the style has never changed. Top quality botanicals and a 48-hour infusion in English wheat distillate are used. This infusion is then subjected to a new distillation and no other sweetening and flavoring is carried out. In the distillery there are three traditional copper stills of different sizes and through the sole management of the temperature heads and tails are eliminated to obtain perfect distillates.
