Gustave Lorentz

That of Gustave Lorentz is a historic winery in the village of Bergheim in Alsace, founded in 1863. Today it owns 33 hectares of vineyards managed according to certified organic agriculture, in addition it continues the activity of négotiant of the beginning buying grapes only from the Bergheim area. Among the owned vineyards there are 14.5 hectares classified as Grand Cru: most of them in the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergheim and a small part in the Grand Cru Kanzlerberg. The Gstave Lorentz winery today produces white wines mainly with Riesling, Pinot gris, Gewürztraminer and some versions of Crémant d'Alsace, the traditional method sparkling wine typical of Alsace.
Gustave Lorentz's style of wines is based on precision from an executive point of view and drinkability. The wines are linked to tradition and to express the specificity of the Alsatian territory. Moreover always have a refreshing capacity that stimulates drinking and makes them perfect in combination with food. A particular commitment to sustainability has led the company to convert all vineyards to organic farming with certifications since 2012.
