Château Minuty is a mainstay of Provençal rosé wine production with its 115 hectares of vineyards overlooking Saint-Tropez. The Matton-Farnet family has managed Château Minuty for over 80 years; the estate was founded under Napoleon III and is one of the most popular names when it comes to wine from Provence. The vineyards extend over the Saint-Tropez peninsula and enjoy a particularly mild climate, due to the influence of the Mediterranean Sea and the opening towards the South.
From the Gulf of Saint-Tropez the sea breezes keep the grapes healthy and the average of 3,000 hours of sunshine a year allows excellent maturation.
Château Minuty cultivates only traditional vine varieties from the South of France: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Rolle (Vermentino) and Tibouren and specializes in the production of delicate rosé wines, which represent 80% of the total. They work rationally, use only manure as fertilizer and do not use pesticides or herbicides. The harvest is always manual and each parcel is processed separately.
In the cellar they keep the temperature under control to retain the maximum of grape aromas and use the technology necessary to avoid oxidation in each production phase up to bottling.
