The Casalfarneto winery in the Marche region is today a modern exponent of the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. It was founded by 4 partners in 1995 taking the name of the farmhouse surrounded by oaks, locally called “Farnette”. With the entry of the Togni group into the company structure, the winery makes a step forward and manages to build a new modern cellar that is completely integrated into the landscape, based on the principles of green building and environmental sustainability.
Paolo Togni and the oenologist Danilo Salustri (one of the founding members) are making giant steps forward in production thanks also to the advice of the famous winemaker Franco Bernabei.
Today Casalfarneto has acquired an important competence and experience in the Verdicchio winemaking, that allow it to create a wide range of labels by playing on the moment of harvesting: from fresh wines obtained from a slightly early harvest to great Riserva wines obtained with a late harvest. Some of their labels are rewarded with high scores and have become models of modern Verdicchio.
The winery is located in Serra de' Conti in the Castelli di Jesi DOC area and has 43 hectares of vineyards on clayey soils mixed with limestone, from which it produces 800,000 bottles a year.
