Cantine Monfort is a private winery belonging to the Simoni family. It was founded in Val di Cembra in the 1950s, but then it moved to Lavis. The winery owns vineyards in different areas of Trentino: Vallagarina, Valle dell’Adige, Val di Cembra and Valsugana. It is managed on an artisanal level by the Simoni family, who have converted many of their vineyards to organic farming.
The company has at least two vocations: the first is for still wines typical of Trentino and the second for sparkling wines, which they have been producing since 1985. Cantine Monfor has an articulated range of products, it separates the labels in several lines based on the origin of grapes and wine style.
Year after year, both their still wines, Pinot Noir and Nosiola above all, and their Trentodoc sparkling wines are enjoying increasing appreciation. They manage 55 hectares of vineyards and produce around 200,000 bottles annually.
