Bollinger is one of the most famous and loved Champagne houses. It was founded by the German Joseph Jacob Bollinger in 1829, it has been official supplier of the British monarchy and linked its name to 007 films, thanks to a brilliant co-marketing initiative.
Even today it is in the hands of the same family; Lily Bollinger played a decisive role in the house’s history: widowed, she did everything possible to develop her activities in honor of her husband.
The Bollinger style is distinguished by a predilection for Pinot Noir in its cuvées, in addition the company works mainly with its own grapes from its 172 hectares of vineyards, classified as Grand Cru or Premier Cru. Bollinger produces 2.8 million bottles a year.
