The company's history began in 1959 when the social wine cellar was founded in Taurasi. Its activities continued with the construction in 1972 of a second structure, the one we know today, which then became the Enopolio di Taurasi. Today, Antica Hirpinia is a private winery led by a group of friends who took it over in 2016. The winery covers 31 hectares of vineyard land, most of which is planted with free-range vines and a few hundred-year-old vines, natural monuments that are symbols of fertility and guardians of ancient wisdom. The 79 cement vats, now all vitrified, are used for the vinification of white grapes. The barrique cellar covers 800 square metres and houses, in addition to the barriques, a considerable number of regenerated barrels, each with a capacity of 80 hectolitres.
