It highlights the crispness of Ribolla gialla without sacrificing depth and complexity.
The name Vinnae derives from “vinnaioli” (vintners) and is a tribute to the origins of the Jermann family, of Austrian origin. Vinnae white wine is based on Ribolla gialla grown in the particular soils of the eastern Collio: stratification of marl and sandstone rich in limestone and mineral elements. This soil enhances structure and flavors in the wines, which also benefit from the favorable climate of the area, influenced by the proximity of the Adriatic Sea. Ribolla gialla in itself is a grape rich in acidity, which gives medium-bodied wines and fresh aromas. In this wine it is flanked by small percentages of Rein Riesling and Friulano grape varieties, which contribute to a strong and original personality.
The grapes are harvested in September, are pressed and the free-run must ferments in steel vats at a controlled temperature. A small part of the wine ferments and ages in large Slavonian oak barrels.
