Poggioraso 2020 Cabernet Franc IGT
Poggioraso is based on 100% Cabernet Franc; its vines are located in the area of Baccinello, a soil rich in calcareous clays, and Alberese, a soil mainly composed of sand and silt; the grapes are grown using a spurred cordon system.
The winery uses an organic farming method because it is very careful to safeguard the balance between vine and terroir.
The grapes are harvested by hand through the use of crates.
Maceration takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 4 weeks, and the wine is aged in barriques for 14 months.
Although it is already ready to be tasted, it could, due to its quality still improve and evolve, if properly stored.
