A warm and cheerful wine that conveys the purity of the wild Tuscan Maremma region in a contemporary way.
Sughere di Frassinello is a Maremma Toscana DOC wine, coming from the area of Gavorrano in the province of Grosseto (southern Tuscany). The vineyards are located in an almost flat and uncontaminated environment, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. The climate is warm, Mediterranean with little rainfall. Cabernet and Merlot balance Sangiovese in the blend, creating a flavor that recalls that of Tuscan wine, but speaks a universal language.
Wine making begins with alcoholic fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation follows. Then the wine ages for about a year in French barriques, half of which are new.
