A surprising wine even if young. Among the scents we can perceive vanilla, the surprising thing is that the ageing is not in barrels but in steel.
Fattoria le maestrelle is made by Santa Cristina in Tuscany from Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah grapes.
Harvesting and fermentation are diversified to allow each blend to reach its full potential; ageing takes place in stainless steel and finally in the bottle for a few months.
The end result is a surprising wine, in fact, it is much more than one might expect from such a young wine vinified solely in stainless steel. On the nose and palate there are hints that are usually typical of the cask, such as: vanilla, cocoa and juniper; overall the wine is very well balanced, soft and with a persuasive and persistent finish, reminiscent of ripe fruit.
