Cabernet Maculan 2022

Maculan Cabernet is a very typical Venetian red wine, although produced with international grape varieties; it has a youthful fruity taste with green notes, that are characteristic of the varietal. In fact, in the region, Cabernet sauvignon and Cabernet franc have been present at least since the early 1900s and are the basis of many popular red wines. On the hills of Breganze, where Maculan grapes grow, the vines enjoy a mild microclimate and have their roots in a soil of volcanic origin, which gives a strong personality to the wines.

The grapes are harvested perfectly ripe and fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins. After racking, the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages in steel vats for a year before being bottled, to smooth out its youthful impetuousness.
