An alluring easy drinking wine, with the typical charm of the Tuscan coast.
It is a modern red wine produced in the southernmost area of Bolgheri near the village of Castagneto Carducci, to be appreciated for its ease of drinking, its fruity, intense and well rounded taste. It is produced by Campo alle Comete, a new winery in the Bolgheri landscape, owned by the Feudi di San Gregorio. The choice of blending 4 different grape varieties allows to create smell complexity and richness of taste. The wine is called "Stupore" (i.e. “wonder”) precisely because it is able to intrigue from the very first impact.
Each variety is harvested when fully ripe and processed separately. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration of about 3 weeks. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for a year in partly new and partly used French oak barriques and tonneaux.
