Alto Adige Pinot Bianco 2023

Cantina Terlano is very proud of Pinot bianco grapes cultivated in their vineyards. The reason is that this vine variety has found extremely favorable conditions in the Terlano area to express all its charm, made up of freshness of aromas, delicacy of taste and mineral flavor. The South Tyrolean climate is characterized by many hours of sunlight, little rainfall and high diurnal temperature range between night and day in summer. These factors determine the good definition of aromas in wines and excellent ripening of the grapes. Furthermore, the soil of the Terlano area is of volcanic origin, without limestone and made up of quartz and porphyry. The plants in this type of soil have naturally low yields and the grapes give particularly tasty wines. The grapes for this Alto Adige Pinot Bianco come from different plots at altitudes between 350 and 900 meters.

The harvest is manual. The grapes are gently pressed and the must is clarified by natural cold decanting. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine ages on the lees for 6-7 months in steel tanks.
