Trimbach is not only a historic winery in Alsace, but also one of the most present in wine lists around the world.
The Trimbach family has been committed to winemaking since the 17th century and since the 19th century the name Trimbach has been internationally known for the quality of its wines. The winery is located in Ribeauville in the Upper Rhine area, where the best Alsatian wines are produced.
The vineyards are protected by the Vosges Mountains and are exposed to the east and south-east, thus enjoying many hours of sunshine. Furthermore, the geological fault of Ribeauville is characterized by the presence of different types of soil: limestone, marl and clay. This variety has allowed Trimbach to successfully cultivate numerous vine varieties and produce wines with a well-defined style: very perfumed and fragrant. In reality, the family's 50 hectares of vineyards also cover 8 other municipalities and make the Maison Trimbach an important representative of Alsatian wines. Their work in the vineyard aims at low and selective yields to guarantee the highest quality.
The harvest is manual and after the grapes are pressed, the juice descends by gravity into the cellar, without using mechanical pumps. Trimbach wines have been exported all over the world for over 50 years.
