Tanqueray is a world-famous Gin brand. Today it belongs to the multinational Diageo. The origin dates back to the young Charles Tanqueray who in 1830 opened a distillery in London and invented a new Gin recipe, very essential indeed.
The business grew especially with the founder's son, Charles Waugh Tanqueray, to the point that the family business merged with Godron & Company and also managed to conquer the US market.
