In 1962, 19 winegrowers founded the Cantine San Marzano, in the village of the same name in the center of the Primitivo production area. 34 years later the first bottles leave the cellar, marking the transition from the bulk economy to the direct relationship with the final consumer and the beginning of the company's modern development.
