Ramazzotti
At the origin of the Ramazzotti brand, now owned by the French multinational company Pernod Ricard, there is a typical Italian story, the story of a man and his family. Ausonio Ramazzotti was a pharmacist and herbalist from Bologna, who moved to Milan in the early 1800s; his passion for spices and herbs led him to invent a mix of ingredients that in 1815 became a commercial product: Amaro Ramazzotti, which soon became one of the most popular amaro labels both in Italy and abroad.
Amaro Ramazzotti soon became a symbol of "made in Italy" and the pleasure of living, a versatile liqueur suitable to be enjoyed as an aperitif or as a digestive. Ramazzotti's heirs during the XX century gave the company an international change and expanded the range of products. In 1994 the Ramazzotti factory has moved to the province of Asti in Piedmont.
