List of products by brand Massolino
Massolino
The name Massolino is part of the history of Barolo and it signs legendary labels of Serralunga d’Alba and Castiglion Falletto. The winery headquarters is located in the center of the little town of Serralunga d’Alba. The sign reads "Massolino - Vigna Rionda" as the activity of the Massolino family is undoubtedly linked to the prestigious cru (Vigna Rionda), of which they produce one of the most popular versions. The winery was founded in 1896 and was one of the founders of the Consortium for Barbaresco and Barolo; the link with history is important, but the brothers Franco and Roberto - today at the helm - have kept qualitative and stylistic standards up to date in the name of tradition and the territory. Today they manage 43 hectares of vineyards from which they produce 300,000 bottles a year.
Massolino soon began to extend the property in the most suitable locations for Barolo. The cellar has grown and expanded as well, but not wanting to leave the town center, the whole new extension is underground.
In the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba Massolino has vineyards in the prestigious crus of Vigna Rionda, Margheria and Parafada; in the municipality of Castiglion Falletto has vineyards in the Parussi cru. In addition to making single vineyard Barolos, Massolino also makes a classic Barolo blending Nebbiolo from any source, as tradition dictated.
The range of wines also includes reds obtained with Barbera and Dolcetto and whites from Chardonnay and Riesling grapes. The delicious Moscato d'Asti is also there: made with the fragrant white Moscato grapes.
