Johnnie Walker is the most bottled whiskey brand in the world. It is the benchmark of Scotch blended whiskey. Originally John Walker, aka "Johnnie" only had one shop where he sold Whisky and spirits in Scotland. He had the intuition to mix single malt Whisky to give consistency to the sales line over time and invented the blended. His business had become very popular and after his death, the family continued it by specializing in the sale of Scotch Whisky.
Following the Spirits Act of 1860, Jonnie Walker immediately ventured into the sale of blended whiskey and invented the square bottle, which served to optimize the loading and transport of the whisky avoiding breakage. Another distinctive element was the oblique label, which made Johnnie Walker Whisky recognizable. In the early 1900s, different typologies were born that were distinguished with the use of colors: Red Label, Blue Label, Black Label and so on.
