Bolgheri began to attract investments after the success of wines such as Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Paleo, Grattamacco. The Alfeo family, on the other hand, is a native of Bolgheri and has been managing agricultural activities for generations, which include the production of wine, oil, fruit cultivation and animal farming. The young Iacopo Alfeo decided to ride the wave of successful Bolgheri wines by transforming the family business. Thus Ceralti was born. In the 60 hectares owned by Ceralti, there are 10.5 hectares of vineyards, managed with certified organic farming. Today it has specialized in the production of DOC Bolgheri wines and produces about 60,000 bottles a year.
It has vineyards located in separate plots with different soils. Some vineyards have sand, others have red clay rich in iron. This diversity allowed Ceralti to develop an articulated range of labels, each with a specific personality.
An important value ​for Iacopo Alveo is the respect for the territory and for its origins; he is convinced that wine excellence can be achieved in Bolgheri thanks to the environmental vocation shared by all producers.
