Castelveder

The Castelveder estate is located in the heart of the Franciacorta area, in particular in the Monticelli Brusati village in the province of Brescia. It takes its name from a castle on the top of the Madonna della Rosa mountain. The business began in 1975 on the initiative of Renato and Elena Alberti, who today passed the direction to their niece Camilla Alberti. The planting of the vineyards dates back to this time, which are cultivated with varieties suitable for the production of excellent bubbles, namely Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; actually Merlot, Cabernet, Barbera and Nebbiolo are also grown in their vineyards for the production of still wines.

The village of Monticelli Brusati, where the Belveder vineyards extend, is located on deep moraine soils and partly in terraced hills, where there is a greater presence of limestone. In this area the grapes ripen perfectly giving wines with intense fruity aromas and full structure.

The Castelveder cellar has an underground environment suitable for aging Franciacorta maturing on the lees; in the “arch room” the bottles stacked or on pupitre can rest in the dark and at a constant temperature of 12-14 ° C. Castelveder owns 12 hectares of vineyards and produces 80,000 bottles of Franciacorta and still wines labeled as Curtefranca DOC.
