That of the Caffo is a family of Sicilian distillers, active already in the nineteenth century, but the Caffo Distillery was born with Giuseppe Caffo in 1915 in Santa Venerina, province of Catania, and immediately they they took over also a distillery in Calabria, where their best known product is made: Amaro del Capo. They have made several acquisitions in Italy and recently have also taken possession of the Petrus brand, the famous Dutch “amaro” and the Ferro-china Bisleri.
