André Lurton, a visionary man and pioneer in the wine industry, inherited a passion for wine from his family. Another noteworthy Château is Château de Barbe Blanche, located on a clay and limestone hill at 87 meters above sea level in the foothills of Saint-Émilion. Château de Barbe Blanche is one of the jewels of the Saint-Émilion appellation. In the vineyards, Merlot reigns supreme, followed by Cabernet Franc as a close second. Robust, fine and deep wines of extraordinary elegance are produced here, fully reflecting the wine-making prestige of the Saint-Émilion region.
