ANDRÉ LURTON

The story of the André Lurton Winery is a saga steeped in passion, dedication and a deep respect for the terroir of Bordeaux. Founded in the heart of the prestigious wine region in 1949 by André Lurton, this winery has become an icon in the French and international wine scene.

André Lurton, a visionary man and pioneer in the wine industry, inherited a passion for wine from his family. With a long tradition in the industry, he has made it his personal mission to enhance the best of Bordeaux's terroir through his wines. With his deep knowledge of the soil, climate and grape varieties, he worked tirelessly to create wines that expressed the true essence of the region. In the years since its founding, André Lurton has acquired several prestigious Château, each with its own unique history and character.

One of these is Château Bonnet, located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, famous for its fresh, fruity white wines. Founded in the 18th century, this estate embodies the balance between tradition and innovation, producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique character of the surrounding terroir.

Another noteworthy Château is Château de Barbe Blanche, located on a clay and limestone hill at 87 meters above sea level in the foothills of Saint-Émilion. Château de Barbe Blanche is one of the jewels of the Saint-Émilion appellation. In the vineyards, Merlot reigns supreme, followed by Cabernet Franc as a close second. Robust, fine and deep wines of extraordinary elegance are produced here, fully reflecting the wine-making prestige of the Saint-Émilion region.

These are just two examples of the many châteaus owned by André Lurton, each with its own distinctive history and personality, all to be discovered.
