Modern wine based on Cabernet grown in Chianti; it has an intense and supple taste.
Pievasciata is a modern, affordable and immediate red wine, obtained from blending French and Tuscan grape varieties. The grapes come from the vineyards of Vallepicciola in Pievasciata in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga. The territory is that of southern Chianti, very close to Siena; it is made up of hills with clayey and calcareous soil, very suitable for the cultivation of black berried grapes. The brightness of the area and the temperate climate favor a perfect ripening of the grapes and enhance the fruity character of the wine.
The grapes are harvested in late September. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature with a maceration of 7-10 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French barriques and ages in barrique for about 8-10 months.
