Langhe Rosso DOC Sito Moresco 2022
Sito Moresco is a typically Piedmontese red wine based on Nebbiolo which shoulder small percentages of Barbera and Merlot. It is produced by the very famous Gaja winery, based in the center of Barbaresco. Gaja's wines are never banal, but they always have a sensational character. Even in the creation of a simple and ready-to-drink wine, Gaja guarantees impeccable levels of technical execution and very specific choices aimed at a guaranteed satisfaction. The addition of Barbera serves to soften the vehemence of Nebbiolo and the small contribution of Merlot creates an accent on the fruity flavors and the roundness of mid palate.
The grapes for Sito Moresco are fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for a few months in wood.
