Côtes du Rhône AOP Belleruche Rouge 2023
M. Chapoutier's Côtes du Rhône Belleruche Rouge is made mainly from Grenache and Syrah grapes grown in the Rhône Valley.
Harvesting takes place when the grapes reach phenolic maturity and mainly by machine, ensuring careful selection of the grapes. After complete destemming, the grapes are vinified in concrete and stainless steel tanks for 3-4 weeks. Pumpover operations are carried out daily to gently extract the aromatic components, anthocyanins and tannins.
The must ferments at a temperature of 28°C, which increases towards the end to promote the polymerisation of the tannins. Subsequently, the wine matures for six months in cement and stainless steel tanks, allowing its profiles to develop fully.
