An unusual white blend interprets the typical environment of the Tuscan coast with smell and taste that recall the sea.
Vistamare is an elegant white wine that Angelo Gaja produces on his estate in Bolgheri. The name (literally “Sea view”) evokes the character and philosophy of wine: a wine that comes from a maritime territory and which evokes the sea when tasted. It is produced with a blend of 4 grape varieties: the native Vermentino and internationally successful French grapes. The percentages are indicative and vary every year according to the season, as it is not intended to be a varietal wine, but rather a territorial wine like all Gaja wines.
The 4 varieties are processed separately. The grapes ferment at a controlled temperature. Vermentino and Sauvignon blanc mature in steel while Viognier and Chardonnay mature a few months in barrique.
