Dry Gin Portofino

It comes from an idea of four young business men who decided to revive the atmosphere of the Ligurian Riviera in an artisanal gin produced in Italy with selected and locally grown ingredients. Dry Gin Portofino is produced with a discontinuous distillation in traditional copper alembic. It is a vacuum distillation that uses the heat of the steam, in order to preserve all the aromatic freshness of the botanicals used. Among the botanicals there are juniper, lemon, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, sage, iris, roses. These botanicals are collected from the hills of Portofino and express the typical scents of the Tyrrhenian coast. In particular, the herbs come from a garden owned by the family of one of the partners, therefore from a very short and controlled supply chain; above all they are grown organically, with no use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and are hand-picked. The distillation is entrusted to the Antica Distilleria Quaglia in Asti, which boasts centuries-old experience in the production of liqueurs and spirits. The idea of Gin Portofino is to evoke the pleasant atmosphere of an Italian aperitif at sunset by the sea with every sip. The packaging with the image of the picturesque village of Portofino printed on the glass bottle is a clear message of the inspiration of this excellent Italian gin. Produced for the first time in 2018, Dry Gin Portofino has already earned international awards in the main events dedicated to spirits.
